My Experience at Rainforest International School (RFIS)

Studying at Rainforest International School (RFIS) in Cameroon was an exciting and transformative journey. As a Christian international school, RFIS provided not only a strong academic foundation but also a nurturing environment where faith and education intertwined seamlessly.

One of the most impactful aspects of my time at RFIS was the deep biblical learning I experienced. Through engaging classes, discussions, and daily interactions, I gained a greater understanding of the Bible. The school fostered an atmosphere where faith wasn’t just taught but lived out in everyday experiences. Teachers integrated biblical principles into their lessons, helping me see the relevance of scripture in different aspects of life.

The School Retreat: A Time of Growth and Fellowship

One of my favorite memories at RFIS was the school retreat. It was more than just a getaway—it was an opportunity to grow spiritually, bond with classmates, and reflect on our personal journeys. The retreat was filled with powerful worship sessions, inspiring messages, and meaningful small-group discussions. It was a time to step away from the distractions of everyday school life and refocus on our faith. Whether it was late-night campfire conversations or moments of quiet prayer in nature, the retreat helped strengthen my relationship with God and with my peers.

From soccer to basketball and track events, the school’s athletic competitions were always filled with energy and excitement. I still remember the friendly yet intense matches where teams gave their all, cheered on by enthusiastic classmates. Wednesday Chapel: A Midweek Spiritual Recharge

One of the highlights of every week was Wednesday Chapel. It was a time when the entire school gathered to worship, listen to speakers, and reflect on God’s word. The music was uplifting, and the messages were often thought-provoking and encouraging. Chapel wasn’t just another school activity; it was a space where we could pause, be reminded of God’s presence, and be encouraged in our faith. Some of the most impactful moments in my spiritual journey happened during those Wednesday gatherings, where a single message or worship song could speak directly to what I was going through.
