Think Christian, Excellence, International, think RFIS

As a little kid, RFIS always filled me with awe and wonder. The campus was huge, the trees were huge, and most of all, the people were huge. When I finally went to RFIS, I was a bit intimidated. How would I adjust to the classes? Would the homework overwhelm me? How would I make friends? Would they be good friends? These questions and more filled me with trepidation as I entered Middle School.
Looking back on it now, especially a couple years into university, those questions seem simple. Filled with the blessing of hindsight, it was easy to determine that I would succeed at RFIS. However, nothing can be easy or certain without some harder or more challenging event occurring. And that is what RFIS provided me.
As I went from Middle School to High School, the classes got more challenging, more time consuming, and more exhausting. Despite the challenge it presented, I am extremely grateful that the teachers pushed me towards excellence. Without the lessons I learned at RFIS, lessons of patience, perseverance and time management, I would not have been prepared for studying engineering at a university.
RFIS was truly a home for me. I have gone back to the school a few times, and I have enjoyed it each time. The ability to roam the campus, sit in the places I used to sit, and make jokes with the friends still studying there has been a blessing beyond what I expected. It has shown me how much I was blessed by being at RFIS.
